Accessibility
Field & File Studio wants this website to be usable by as many people as possible. This page explains the approach taken and how to tell us if something is not working for you.
Our commitment
This is a small, independent business, and accessibility matters here. The website is built to be clear and usable, and it is reviewed and improved as the site develops. This is a genuine commitment rather than a formal certification.
What this page is — and is not
This is a voluntary accessibility statement for a private business. It is not a statutory statement under the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations, which apply to public sector organisations and do not apply to Field & File Studio.
How the site is built for accessibility
- you can navigate the site using a keyboard, and there is a “skip to content” link;
- a visible focus outline shows where you are when using a keyboard;
- headings are used in a logical order to structure each page;
- text is set for readable size and contrast;
- layouts adapt to phones, tablets and desktops;
- light and dark themes are both supported;
- if you prefer reduced motion, the site respects that setting and limits animation;
- images and icons are given text alternatives or hidden from assistive technology where they are decorative.
Testing
Automated accessibility checks are run against the site as part of building it, in both light and dark themes and at different screen sizes. Automated testing is helpful but does not catch everything and does not prove full legal compliance — so it is treated as one tool among several, alongside manual checks and ongoing improvement.
Known limitations
There are no known major accessibility problems at this stage, but no website is perfect, and this page will be updated if specific limitations are identified.
